Let's face it, Lennox Head will never be able to hide from our reputation for the world famous right hand break at Lennox Point.
And we don't want to! Some of our residents will hate the fact that we are drawing more attention to it.
Yet the Lennox Surf Reserve, the second surf reserve in New South Wales, encompases more than just Lennox Point. Flat Rock, Boulders and 7 Mile Beach have also been synonymous with surfing pilgremages to the Far North Coast since the 1950's.
Ah, but that great right hander at The Point offers challenge and reward for those good enough to take it on. Click here for live webcam footage of Lennox Head Beaches.
There is no denying that the local beaches are our play ground.
We surf, fish, swim, kite surf and launch our jetski's from the boat harbour.
For those of us a little less adventurous, there is Lake Ainsworth on the Northern outskirts of the town.
The fresh tea tree stained waters offer the perfect spot for a family barbeque with facilities provided. It is perfect for canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and perfecting your paddling tecnique before you venture out into the waves.
You don't have to get wet to enjoy the beaches. In the winter months, Whale Watchers come to Lennox Head in droves. Lennox Point, with its views to Cape Byron, is a great vantage point to view the magestic whales as they make their journey north.
The cliffs of Lennox Point also offer the perfect conditions for Hang Gliders to launch. The updrafts send them soaring above the village to capture views of the region that are unsurpassed.
There is something for everyone in Lennox Head, why not see for yourself?
