Don't Forget to Lock the Car!

There has been a rise in the number of cars being broken in to at local beaches.  Police are reminding people to take valuables out of the car and lock doors and windows when they are at the beach. This article is from ABC Northcoast NSW.

Seven Mile Beach Acheives 4 Stars!

Ballina Council released figures yesterday that showed that despite heavy summer rainfall, Seven Mile Beach was among the healthiest spots to swim over the summer.

Lennox Head Cultural and Community Centre

Most of us have been looking on with great interest as the new Lennox Head Cultural and Community Centre draws closer to completion.

Almost Done!

The new community centre on the corner of Park Ave and Mackney Lane is a real draw card for our community and will open in late May 2011.

Our new centre boasts a multi-use auditorium containing a multi-sports court that is also capable of seating up to 500 people for live events, conferences and private celebrations.

There is also a new library, three linked meeting rooms, an activities room and children’s area for playgroups and other children’s activities.

These unique spaces are available for hire to all community groups, businesses and individuals at very affordable subsidised rates and will allow us to host meetings and events in the centre of town, bringing our guests into the heart of our community and our commercial district. 

Ballina Shire Council is currently registering interest from groups who would like to use the space.

Rainy Day!

The last day of the long weekend and the heavens have started to open!  Oh well, I think we have done OK.  Thanks to all of the visitors who found out why we Love Lennox. 
As for the rainy day, why not make yourself comfortable in one of the coffee shops or restaurants and watch the world go by?

Easter Sunday

It has been so nice sharing the Lennox Head with so many visitors!  Getting around today, everybody seems to be enjoying themselves. 
There was a crowd at Lennox Point around high tide and a bit of a carnival atmosphere in the carpark.

Around the same time Lake Ainsworth was being enjoyed by a few sail craft and some families having a relaxing dip.  The grey sky gave the lake a mystical feel, it was beautiful.

I couldn't get over all of the campers at the lake and they were still getting calls from people looking for vacanceis when I was there! (It's booked up until Tuesday)
